Although the Stewardship Teams program is not a residential corps, members come together for trainings and monthly calls and stay connected virtually throughout the program year. The Stewardship Teams will take action to connect the public to the great outdoors in two ways: (1) by engaging youth in hands- on conservation work that protects and restores our land, water, and ecosystems, and (2) by engaging youth in outreach campaigns, events, workshops, environmental education, interpretive programming, and other similar awareness strategies. Members bring skills from a range of disciplines including trail building, invasive species removal, inventorying and mapping, greenway and bike path planning and design, curriculum development and delivery, outdoor recreation coordination, and vegetation propagation.
